Instructions:



Step-By-Step Manual on how to repair Restart problem, Hanging problem & Reset phone code in chinese phones.

1. Check if phone is supported by ET-BoX or not.

Open the phone and see which CPU does your chinese phone have. If it
has MTK processor (written "M" or "MT" on CPU) then it is supported by
ET-BoX.

2. Connect Cable to ET-BoX

2.1 If you have Cable for this model then simply connect to phone and ET-BoX, if not:
2.2 Open the phone and look if phone board has written somewhere "Rx"
& "Tx". If yes, then connect Rx and Tx to respective wires and
connect GND from ET-BoX to anywhere on shielding.

2.3 If phone board does not have any details written about "Rx" &
"Tx", then look in pinouts section or Support forum for pinouts or PCB
Connection diagrams.



3. Connect Phone to ET-BoX Software

3.1 Open Latest Version of ET-BoX and select the assigned comm port & speed. Then press "Connect Port".

3.2 Power of the phone, remove and then insert battery to it.
3.3 Press "Connect Phone" and then press "Power ON" button on the chinese phone.
3.4 Phone will connect and important information will be displayed on screen about CPU, Flash, Software Version, etc.

4. Most Important: Read Full Backup of Phone

4.1 Select the "Reader" tab, select "Full Flash", press "Read Flash".

4.2 A dialog box will appear which will ask you the desired path and filename to save backup to. Click "Save".

4.3 ET-BoX will read and save full backup of your phone which can be used in any later stage.

5. Format The Phone

5.1 Select the "Unlocker" tab, tick "Auto Check EEPROM" & then press "Format FFS".

5.2 If step 5.1 gives any error like "Seeking EEPROM error", then
un-tick the "Auto Check EEPROM" and then try "Format FFS" again.



6. Power on the Phone

6.1 After Format is complete, press "Disconnect Phone", Remove cable from phone, remove & insert the battery.

6.2 Press "Power ON" button for longer time than normal (like 30-60 seconds).
6.3 Phone will power on and may ask for one-time setup or screen caliberation.



7. Fix IMEI

7.1 Connect cable to phone and ET-BoX and press "READ IMEI".

7.2 Tick the "Fix IMEI" tab and enter the original IMEI of the phone from the back panel.
7.3 After that press "WRITE IMEI".

7.4 Disconnect phone & Power Off



8. Your Phone is fixed and ready to be used.





Step-By-Step Instructions on how to Flash the Phone with saved backup of the flash.

1. Open Latest Version of ET-BoX and select the assigned comm port & speed. Then press "Connect Port"
2. Power of the phone, remove and then insert battery to it.
3. Press "Connect Phone" and then press "Power ON" button on the chinese phone.
4. Phone will connect and important information will be displayed on screen about CPU, Flash, Software Version, etc.
5. Select the "Flasher" tab & make sure that no file is allready
selected in the Flasher window, if it does then select it and press
"Remove Files". Press "Add Files". A dialog box will appear which will
ask you the path and filename of the backup flash file. Select your
saved backup file and press "Open". Click "Write Files" & ET-BoX
will start writting full backup of your phone.
6. After Flashing is done remove cable from phone and re-insert the battery.




Tips:

# Never ever Flash Phone with any file other than its own backup file.
# If the phone is restarting even without sim card inside, then mostly its a hardware problem.
# If phone is not connecting or giving any sort or compatibility error,
then please make screenshot, read full flash and send it to support@et-box.net
# As Clearly Said Above this is a Beta edition and may cause damages to your phone. So Please use at your own risk.
